Boom, Candide. Voltaire owned Ayn Rand before she was even born.

I fall into the category of those who think Rand was a genius. Hers was a mind of incredible power and range, of stunning originality and awesome ability to deal with the widest of abstractions. She was like a figure towering on a mountaintop, making connections that nobody else below notices. Her adversaries judge her by the standards of the philosophical ideas they absorbed growing up and that they take for granted—the very ideas her system repudiates. She is the quintessential example of a genius persecuted by the multitude of morons for being right.
For the love of God. Did it take you since 2009 to formulate that post? How many obscure reviews of Rand did you have to piece together to get that?
A true genius sees another genius as merely equal or inferior, not as genius. Therefore those who call someone "genius" are themselves non-geniuses, and are unable to critically evaluate the ideas of a genius in the first place. So how the hell would they know if someone's a genius or not? All they know is the "genius" is smarter than them, they have no idea by how much.
If you search my posts you will find that I have never called anyone a genius.
