his 5k pr is now 7 seconds behind terget's and when terget ran 2:04:5X for the marathon, he was not in 12:49 shape anymore... he was well past his track p.r. days. It's now conceivable that ritz could run 2:05 low or 2:04 high eventually... i still think the marathon will be his best event eventually. Will he set the world record? no... but he will run damn fast.
Ritz won't break 2:06. but Bekele will break 2:03 if he tries it

he might run 205 but using Tergats 5k time is not valid for a point of comparison. Lets not forget he ran like 26:27 in the 10k as well, which is far superior to 12 49. Ritz is nowhere near his level on the track or xc.
