It looks like the real Scott Van Pelt of ESPN wrote saying that it wasn't him trashing track and field on the message boards. He said his producers alerted him to the thread.
Scott does the 11pm eastern sportscenter and I think the comment came on the West coast edition which is later.
It was John Anderson, a former high jumper and captain of the University of Missouri track and field team.
