wheating wins with bum calf
can oregon win with bum centro?????
NCAA CHAMP BABY!
CONGRATS!
Another Oregon STUD,
Ashton, Rupp, Wheating.
Nothing buy 1st.
He def looked like he was straining with 200-300 to go. i dunno if that was the fast pace or that was the calf. But he def did something to his calf.
And Rupp won the 10,000 after not leading for most of the race. Big deal.
Jordan McNamara will be decapitated around the last turn of the 1500 yet will still bring home 10 points for the Ducks!
tevan should have just run to the line and not looked over. I feel like it was a mental defeat as much as a physical. But great job to wheating, I have a feeling he has a lot more in the tank for later in the summer. He should run 144.X in a fast race later in the summer.

Your kidding right? That was a simply sensational 800 all around and a sensation effort by Everett and you criticize him less than 5 minutes after the race.
Did you watch the race. He took it out in 23 point. He led the entire thing. 4-5 guys came up on him with 100 to go and he regained a lead before Wheating had his trademarked final 10 meter surge.
He didn't let up. He threw himself at the line aka Christian Smith. Everett gave it 100%.
Honestly, you should be ashamed for saying he didn't run to the line.
500 meters in, I thought it would be a Wheating blowotu as he was right up there but Everett gave it a great go.
An AWESOME RACE.
my heart was pounding

as long as that calf recovers, he didn't look very good. when he made a move up to 3rd at about 300 to go he was grimacing.

That's not how I took the comment Rojo. I agree that had Tevan run straight, focused on the finish line, and not tried to concern himself with Wheating's race, he may have saved himself about 0.1 seconds...enough to win. All the head turning, effort notwithstanding, and interferring is, in my opinion, an end of race crisis of confidence. Its too bad because he ran one hell of a race otherwise. He really should have won.
