Below is the link. Does anyone know anything about these shoes? Have you worn them? Any feedback?

Dear Sir or Madam,
they look like katanas with flywire.
skeet skeet (lol)

Thanks for the post. Agreed. Have the flywire and low like the katana. Actually got in them and were really soft. Other than that, they wouldn't let me run in them. Been the the adizero CS4 for a while and love them. Comparitively, seemed to soft.
Is that the real flywire? It looks a lot like the clear striped fakewire overlays they put on their middle of the road shoes to make them look cool. Might be something to look in to.
These are part of the replacement (the Speed series) for the Katana series in Asia.
The Spider R is the top-of-range racing flat, weighs about 160g in the size of shoe linked to.
I have a white colourway of the Spider R and, yes, it is `real` Flywire, although I am unaware of any road shoe with `Fakewire` (just the cheap Rival D spike).
To the OP, what specifically did you want to know about them?
Bun
I want to know how they compare to the Katana.. my favourite flats to date, looking at investing in a pair. Thanks
Well, the fit is a little different; I find the Spider R has a more rounded toebox shape. But size-wise they are the same (for me anyway).
The Flywire panels allow for better lockdown, although there is a seam on the lateral toe side that can rub quite a bit, so you have to fiddle with the lacing to get it just right.
Heel piece is lower too, but I don`t find it to make much difference.
Biggest difference between the Spider R and Katana Racer is the feel when running. The Spider R has a much smoother transition, I think, since the plastic insert in the midsole is a lot smaller than on the Katana. It also flexes in a better place for me too; a little farther forward than on the Katana.
Outsole is just about the same, albeit a different patterning.
Anything else...oh yes, and the Spider R is about 25g lighter than the Katana too!
If you have any more questions, please post them.
Cheers
Bun
