No balls? After tearing his ACL, he got up and shot two free throws. If that's not balls I don't know what is. Kobe may be the grittiest athletes on this planets. Also, I dont think you guys understand how hard kobe trains. Look up "Kobe 6 6 6" and you'll find out a lot of things that you would've known had you not just assumed that all he does is basketball. The reason he has played so well even when so far from his prime is that he trains harder than anyone in the NBA, and, with few exceptions, the world. Look up "Kobe Bryant Work Ethic" while you're at it. Be warned - you'll be surprised. Kobe may be hurt right now, but barring season-ending injuries, he would be at the same pace that he was 5 years ago in terms of basketball, running, and strength. The fact that many of you are being "generous" with a 5:20-5:30 mile is mind boggling considering I know a 13 year old who runs a 5:12 and still came in the middle of the pack at the REGIONAL meet. A world class athlete like kobe, again, barring injury, could run at least a 4:40 flat with the amount of time he spends on his craft. I have no doubt in my mind that pre-injuries kobe could run a 4:30, and prime kobe could get a 4:20. His training is the only thing allowing him to keep up with the younger, more athletic players of today, and until he retires for good, he will continue with that trend.
