"only 38% three point shooter"
Sounds pretty good to me. What do the best guys in the nation shoot?

40% is the standard. Some of the best are in the mid 40 range. 38% is still very good, just not great. That is more of a reflection of the types of 3s he is taking. His % would be much higher if he was just able to spot up and catch and shoot.
Last year when he had better teammates who could take some of the pressure off of him, he shot 43.9%. In his 3 years of college, he has shot 41.2%.
curry was pretty damn small in high school.. not really small per se, but small for a d1 basketball player. he has definitely grown a few inches since high school, and filled out a little too
See the younger brother at Liberty announced he is transferring.
HI
Wow, can you believe this thread?!
Is he really 6'3" though?
D'Angelo Russell is pretty much a Stephen Curry clone, I've heard scouts compare Russell favorably to Curry.
To get to the other side
Re: "He won't be a star in the NBA...."
In 2014; Stephon Curry was named NBA MVP! Took Golden State and won the NBA Championship! You are right, Stephon Curry not a NBA star; he is a NBA "Superstar" like that of Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan and Lybron James!
"He won't be a star in the NBA..."
He is a NBA Superstar!

He won't be a star in the NBA, but he can turn into a very good player. He should take pointers from how Mo Williams is playing this year with the Cavs. Mo can run the team, but when Lebron initiates the offense, Mo can spot up and shoot with the best of them.
Can't blame you for those comments in 2009.
Nobody saw him becoming the MBA MVP and leader of a championship team.
And he's better this year.
Leading the NBA in scoring and seems to be a lock for repeat MVP.
And his team is on pace to have the best single season record in league history.
Hard to imagine that this thread started by questioning why he couldn't get scholarship offers to top colleges.
This thread is one of the better reasons to stick around LRC. I remember when this thread was started. I may have commented on it back in 09.
