Sorry I see it is on BBC Red Button.
I'm new to the UK. Does the 'red button' mean that I can watch on my normal TV just by clicking the red button on my remote and then selecting World Champ XC? Or do I have to watch online somehow?

bump
if you have digital then use the red button on your remote. if not it will be live streamed on the website... the quatlity is usually very good. Last, You will be able to use a proxy if not in the UK.
How does one obtain the proxy?

Yes, PLEASE, for us dumbasses here who really want to watch the race, could someone explain simply the steps we would need to do watch the race??
THANKS!
(and I will be attempting to watch on a mac)
I am only a semi technical guy, but I think I know of two possible ways to watch the race tomorrow. Oh yeah, can someone confirm the East Coast time it will be on? I have heard 7:15, 6:15, 8:30, etc. Anyone know for sure and can provide a link to reference. Dont just pull the time out your a$$.
So, again, only a semi tech guy but I am trying. So if these do not work, dont get pissed at me.
Method one...Proxy.
go to
Look on the right hand side and see the list of proxies. Select one that does NOT have US in the parathensis (sp?). Then in that new website, enter in
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/
and go to the player tab. Now the player will think you are in another country and allow you to view the video.
Method two....Denmark TV.
go to
http://www.aelling-online-tv.dk/
Click the big button in the middle that says online TV
Then in the bottom left drop down, choose Sport TV.
Then in the middle drop down, select a TV channel. Not sure which one, if any are going to be showing the race and they will probably not be in English. But there is a chance.
Post back here if you do get it to work and can watch the event so others can join in the action.
Thanks brah.
I’m the original poster of this thread. Regarding the start times of these races, one can find easily find them at
http://iaaf.org/wxc09/index.html
. Then subtract 7 hours (because I’ve been told Jordon is going on daylight savings time tonight, and you get these times for the US Eastern Time Zone.
Jr Women 7:30am Saturday, Jr Men 8:00am, Sr Women 8:40, and Sr Men 9:30. But if there happens to be no daylight saving change tonight for Jordan, then add 1 hour to the above start times, meaning the first race (Jr Women) starts later at 8:30am.
In reply to the above poster, I have no problem going to proxy.org and selecting a non-USA proxy. But I can’t get the eurosport player to work. When I select the player most of the words are in another language and it appears I’m being asked to subscribe and pay a fee, which of course I can’t do if I can’t read what is being said.
So does anyone know any other European websites that may be broadcasting this World XC Championship live? Someone, please provide more URLs for me and others to try.
Does universalsports.com have a European website that might be webcasting this event?
Nothing stated above allows one to view this World XC meet on the internet.
bbc.co.uk/sport
This BBC sport site says they will be streaming the coverage.
I talked to the people at Universal Sports and they said the meet will not be on live and hopefully will be put up the same day on deman. So for live coverage you'll have to use a European feed. I'm sure someone will be posting on here as well.
desperate bump..anyone????
VPNGates.com has UK proxy servers. I used it during the Olympics. $15 for 1 month will let you watch for sure.

Do you know where the link will be? I see the note that says that they'll have coverage from 1115-1430 GMT.
