It seems like they've lost a lot of their recruits to transfer in the past few years, including Renee Gunning who is running well for NC State. Anyone know why so many leave? I think three others have left as well.

Villa-no-fun?
Why is it no fun there? Please elaborate.
Yeah...what's "so many?" I know quite a few who stayed four years did well, and are running well postcollegiately.
One of the Toedebushes left as well.
because they graduate.
o'sullivan gave up the women's team - not sure why - personal or an administrative decision. then some lady was hired. heard that the she was a major beeyatch. she clashed with lots of girls and was hard to deal with. not sure, but they may have replaced her recently.
Megan Flowers (old Hog stud) left there after her freshman as well.
i heard they were a bunch of fags...but hey, i didn't say that--somebody else did.
...the guys, that is. maybe the girls get annoyed

to go to CU with Dathan.
Carrie Tollefson is a pro now.
Damn you, alumnus. That was my response.
You're NOT welcome.
.....
Gina Procaccio is the coach of the women
Before that it was Marty Stern who allegedly got in trouble for hanky panky with his team members
they leave because the guys team is too hot.
I am a junior in HS (female) and also considering Villanova. I have no yet visited the school, i'll prob do that early september but was also wondering why so many girls transfered out?

Here's the deal... some people conflict with Gina Procaccio for a couple reasons. Either they do not agree with her philosophy of lower mileage(60) but high intensity, or they do not agree with her belief that to excel at a high level (as she did) you have to be mentally and physically tough. Some girls simply want to train differently than Proccaccio and fear that they are not doing enough, for Proaccio if the mileage and workouts are done at a high intensity then you don't need to run 90 miles a week. She's had many succesful athletes (Marina Muncan...before college 4:19 1500m....freshman year 4:11 1500m) and what it comes down to is if you are a tough competitor and want to win, this is the place for you. If you need a coach to sympathize or comfort you when you've had bad races or to allow any sort of laziness or lack of will then don't come here.
typically what kind of mileage would i be doing my freshman year? and second, do most girls now on the team agree with her training philosophy. Is it just the low mileage that they have a problem with? I'm assuming you are a girl on the team, can u give me a typical workout(s)
