The Villanova track team has been hosting a series of Oreo Case Race challenges to drown (or eat) our sorrows after NCAAs. Every time the record is broken, people think it will never be broken again. Is there an actual list for this competition? If not then here is a start.
The rules are simple.
Race against the clock to ingest an entire box (45 cookies) of Oreos.
You are allowed (1) 8 oz glass of milk or water.
No deconstruction. There is no taking apart of the cookies.
No puking until you have finished the last cookie.
Must have witnesses.
Standard 1 pound 2 ounce box of Oreos. 2410 calories. 105 grams of fat. A rough time on the digestive system.
Villanova Record Progression:
Billy Sepich: 19:40.23
Frances Koons: 19:15.82 (Women's Record)
Joe Capecci: 17:35.10
Kevin Rogers: 14:45.65
Frank Anuszewski: 10:27.82
Matt Ratigan: 8:30.43
Garrett Kroner: 7:29.16
Matt Ratigan: 5:45.72
Matt Mildenhall: 4:46.63 (New Zealand national record)
Brandon Eck: 3:47.81
There were many strong eaters that didn't crack 30 minutes. There were also a fair share of DNFs. People thought Billy Sepich's record was godly. Now Brandon Eck has gone sub 4. Is there anyone who can challenge this effort?
