Anyone know whats up with Eagon and Winthrow? They are sitting out the Big 10's according to the start lists.
On the ladies side what about Grinaker and Hintz?

They are hurt as usual because Wisconsin cares more about XC than Olympic Trials.
However, not to worry, Badgers will still win Big 10's by over 25 points (like the last decade).
i've been wondering the same thing.
Any thoughts on the Big Ten?
Wisconsin scored 119 points, which many thought would win the meet but was 10 short. They failed to capture the share of points in all races 800 and up that some thought possible. Their top three runners, Bethke/Eagon/Withrow did not pick up too many points: Withrow and Eagon are hurt (Eagon is now back to full training but is not fit, I think), and Bethke has not been on the level he was at mid-winter since his Big Ten Indoor 'explosion'; presumably he will get that level back for a longer period of time next time he peaks.
As for Grinaker, she got mono and is redshirting the outdoor season after going flat indoors when she started getting sick. The swimmer Jorgensen provided a bit of a surprise when she ran 16:11 in her first 5000.
The Badgers will win by 25 points, eh?....
Eagon still isn't back to running, he's working out in the pool hoping to have a summer track season.
