Is it just me, or are those Boston marathon jackets f-ugly. Plus they and the people who wear them seem to annoy me.

I tend to agree, though I bought one myself one of the years I went just because. I was surprised to find out that it is the nicest athletic jacket I own. Very nicely put together with all kinds of cool pockets and features. It ended up being a really good purchase and I wear it a lot now not to display the jacket but because it's just a good jacket.
I have one for each Boston I've run. It's a nice momento that I'll be able to enjoy many years after I quit running marathons.
I could care less what an insecure cretin like yourself thinks of them.
I agree

I'm sorry, but I do.
The Adidas jackets are ugly. The Image Impact jackets, however are quite nice

sucker
Definitely toolware.
i only see older boston marathoners wearing the image boston jackets. in my opinion they are too gaudy and cheesy. the adidas jackets are more conservative and look like a normal jacket except for a small boston badge. personally, i think its a better look.
I agree. Those image jackets are always fugly.
Average Joe, no offense, but you have the.worst.taste.ever.Exactly the opposite of what you said:The Adidas jackets are OK. The Image Impact jackets, however are quite UGLY.

I agree, mine is a very nice jacket and a perfect weight for fall and spring days. The older the jacket gets the more I like to wear it. It nice to strike up a conversation when someone comes up to me and says, "Hey, I ran Boston that same year".
Do people really care that much what others think about them based on a jacket? Low self-esteem.
I still wear this one.
Agree. I've bought an Adidas jacket at each Boston I have run. Never even gone near the Image Impact ones. But I don't wear running jackets except when I run (or when I'm going to run or just did) and the Adidas jackets are far superior for that purpose. I see people running in those Adidas jackets all the time. Whenever I see the Image jackets it's always on some mook in stonewashed jeans and running shoes. I don't think I've ever seen anyone actually run in them.
Thanks for clearing that up. I hoping an international clothing expert like yourself would let everyone know what their personal choice should be.

Classic.
I love the adidas volunteer jackets...and run in them all winter. In fact I volunteer before the marathon, then I get a free jacket and memento of running it as well.
Wonder what color the jackets will be this year? for volunteers I mean...

Well now, how could I take offense at a mild statement like that?
No worries. I probably do have the worst taste ever. But I really like the Image Impact jackets. I am clearly the "target demographic" for this stuff.
First, why do you care what other people wear?
I see people at road races with the Boston jacket on and too me it indicates that this person is at least semi serious about their running.
