What's a reliable conversion between 2mile (or 3000) and 3000st times? It seems 2mile and steeple times are usually pretty close. Comments?

That's how my times work. My 2 mile pr is 10 seconds faster than my steeple time. I think that it is a pretty even equivalent.
that was what we were always taught; that your flat 2 mile time is what you should be able to run the steeple in, approximately. Of course there are obvious caveats; ie, a guy who is a clumsy, less than nimble jumper and hurdler or a slower 2 miler who is a great technician on the jumps and can do better than a flat 2 mile.
