I approve of DUIs
1 Gagnon, Brian Connecticut 1:48.28Q
2 Rutt, Michael Connecticut 1:50.63Q
3 Iannaccone, Steven Connecticut 1:51.21Q
4 Lourenco, James Providence 1:53.94Q
5 Holst, Dan Connecticut 1:51.76Q
Not sure what is up with the kid from Providence's time- I just copied and pasted from the NEICAAA website. Gagnon was just a quarter of a second off of the New England indoor record...held by Joel Legare of UConn.
So we are looking at a 4X800 in the range of 7:22. Is that a national class time or no?

If they all run their PRs on the relay - which never happens.
They're a 7:25 team at best. It's national class, for sure, but will get them about 5th at Penn.

Never say never. It does happen, it's just rather rare.
See Penn Relays record of 7:11 which has been on the books for more than 20 years.
who says 7:25? are u joking? At Big East 2 teams ran 7:26 and they weren't as good as Uconn. It is actually more likely to run faster on a relay split. And the fact that they all ran these times on their own gives them more credibility. I say right now if they did one fresh next week at BU they could go like 7:22 come outdoors they can go sub 7:20 and definitely challenge for the crown.
blo cast-
TALK TIMES WHILE THE RACE IS IN PROGRESS.
save your shitty commentary for the afterparties and just read off splits. the only mention of splits in that race was the 600m mark. get your head in the game and quit trying to be a cold pizza analyst.
for an 800m race, it is not asking much to quickly sound off at 200m, 400m, 600m, and possibly 700m. running is the most straight forward of sports to report on. you do consider yourselves sports reporters right?

Obviously, you've never run a relay at Penn.
Bump this thread when the results come back, alright, tough guy.

It's tough for the races where he doesn't have a spotter. They try to have 2 guys for events so that one can take care of the camera and the other can take splits and try to give some background. If he's trying to work a watch or even check out the scoreboard every lap he might miss some of the race and then you'll complain about that. They're doing you a favor by posting the videos that you don't even pay to watch so be appreciative that it's better than no video at all.
the only thing thats good to come out of lowell. everyone else just so happens to be a piece of shit. by the way, 1:48.28 isnt that quick, compared he ran like 1:51 in high school relay. hes fast, dont get me wrong. but every talks him up like he is f***ing superman.
gags is the da man. better than superman.
Gagnon's teammate Rutt ran 1:48 today.
No big deal fellas.
Looks like he splits 26/52/1:18/1:48
I give props to Gagnon instead of taken it easy and sitting and kicking for the win he took his teammate Rutt threw 600 in 1:18 high giving him a shot to go to Fayetteville! much props! to Both Rutt and Gagnon
UCONN could have a vicious 4x800 for penn, especially once Gagnon and Rutt stretch their legs on an outdoor track, I think they have a team that could go 7:20, and last year that would be good enough to run with the leaders.
and for those wanting to know "That Kid" from providence was just trying to win his trial without doing a lot of work. Watch the race, there was no reason to run faster than 1:53
