I agree. No self respecting kid should sport a mohawk.

The school should let him look however he wants. Just as they should when he's older and goes for a job interview or to work, since he won't at all be judged on how he looks. employers love people with mohawks!

He can wear a mohawk to a job interview. That's his freedom. If we're going to talk about lessons and people with mohawks not getting jobs. How about other 6 year old kids distracted by hair. If you go into a job interview staring at someone's hair you probably don't stand a good chance either.
To the other guy, I'm not pleading that the mother is intelligent or choose the wrong appeals method. I could care less about the mother. The fact that a school is telling someone how to cut their hair is the ridiculous part. I don't care that "it's a part of the rules that they have". That's the point exactly, how does that get added to the rules? You can't just add whatever you want to a rulebook because it seems convenient. Wardrobe I semi-understand though I don't advocate it. Hair is ridiculous. Why not suspend people with big ears, that's distracting. Why not suspend people with glasses instead of contacts? Why not suspend people who walk too fast in hallways, or for not walking in a straight line in order? That can be distracting. So basically we should all get the same haircut and walk in straight lines and not get out of order. Also we should all wear uniforms. This will teach kids to be better people. Not a mom showing her son to stand up against ridiculous rules. Your right, that's an awful message for someone to show their son.

Well I see you haven't gotten any brighter since the PC vs Mac thread. You still contradict yourself all over the place.
he seems to have a huge chip on his shoulder about authority figures - I wonder why.

Sounds like someone's still a little bitter that people make fun of them for throwing away money on a mac.
I hope your shamrock key breaks and falls off.
As for her, I couldn't care less the point about the mother causing the whole situation. She may be standing up against the dumb rule, which I was commenting on not being such a bad thing. But as for her in the whole situation I don't agree or disagree on her or how she raises her kids. That's not a contradiction. I don't care about it, she may be making a point, but the issue as I see it is whether a kid should be able to have a certain hair cut.
Do you have a point, or do you just like stalking me and making my text bold face?
Exactly who's bitter here? ROFL!
Is a contradiction...
You say that you're "not pleading that the mother is intelligent", begrudingly conceding her lack of intelligence. Then go on to say that she is "a mom showing her son to stand up against ridiculous rules" which infers her intelligence in fighting unintelligent rules.
Finally...
Don't flatter yourself. Empty barrels make the most noise. You certainly seem to make noise.
BTW, it's not your text anymore once you click the "Post Message" button. If you don't like your idiotic text in bold, don't click "Post Message". ;)
Well I'd be less convinced that you have a thing for me if you'd actually make a point. But instead you just keep talking about my words without typing about the situation at hand.
Come on now, I reference her intelligence. So your claim is that I "indirectly" make reference to her intelligence to contradict myself. If I'm not directly stating it, stop inferring it. I infer from your comments that you have a huge man-crush on me. She's courageous, but that doesn't take intelligent. Learn the difference. People do bold things all the time, but that doesn't mean they're smart.

It's a ludacris claim.
So is your spelling of the word ludicrous. Maybe you were too worried about your own hair during English Class?
I suck at english, that I will give you. It was my "worst" subject, but I'm sure you've never misspelled a word in your entire life. So don't sweat it.
Maybe they should suspend those girls who sat in front of me twirling their hair. That was sure distracting.
Americans are f'en crazy. Land of the free-my ass, just don't try and look different right?! God forbid someone actually wants to be an individual.
WTF is wrong with a mohawk? or dreadlocks? or what ever someone decides to do with their appearance? I'm glad I don't live in your sh!t hole of a country so I can at least maintain the personality and style I choose without facing discrimination.
what? no comeback? Yeah you yanks are mad conservative (even the 'leftys'). I guess if I wanted some comeback I could always scrape it from the roof of your mouth.
