Merry Christmas !
Merry Christmas. Just ran 5 miles in snow, slush and ice. This Dec has been terrible for training. I either need to take up XC skiing, snoeshoeing or a treadmill.
Mid-day run of 4 miles planned. That is if my eyes adjust back after looking at these colors!
Full court basketball with college boys, hope I can hang.
White X-mas here ... probably 3 inches in Boulder so far this morning.
I'll grab a nordic ski session later today.
Enjoy the holidays one and all!

Another question for tracklover - do you mean that all repeats are at the same (goal) pace? So 16 second 100s = 32 sec 200s and 64 sec 400s?

tracklover,
I like the look of that workout. Two questions: What was your rest? And was it at goal pace for spring/summer or for races in the near future?
Merry Xmas. Snowing hard here today. My surprise gift was a sprinter outfit! Tight pants and top. The Ms. thinks I look good but she's biased! :-)
All repeats were at the same pace, the thinking was to program in the pace with the initial 1s and 2s, then work hard doing the 4s, then hang on for more with additional 2s while tired, then a couple of strides to finish.
This was a keep moving volume-boosting workout, so recovery was equal distance of jogging per interval (recovery = 100, 200 or 400).
Goal pace was for the Hartshorne mile in one month.

Merry Christmas! Beautiful day here in Nor Cal. I'm gonna have to see that sprinter outfit; sounds very cool. I received some nice running gear and then a total surprise...some sprinter bling! Gorgeous. Dr. Spikez knows the way to a woman's heart.
That workout is inspiring. As soon as I pop the turkey into the oven I'll head to the track and try 8 x 200 at about 80% effort with a recovery jog in between.
Hope everyone has a great day with their loved ones. Merry Christmas nyloco!
Beautiful weather here in New York, with the temp in the upper 40s. I decided to do some speedwork this afternoon, so a jog to the track and a 20 minute Tempo. Just under 14 laps, so a good, perhaps too-fast, pace. Able to go in a t-shirt and compression shorts.
Merry Christmas to all.
Merry Christmas from the Pacific Northwest. It's snowing in nw portland right now; big fat flakes. It won't amount to much but it's enough to remind this former New Englander of real winter. Have a peaceful Christmas everyone!
Merry Christmas---- Did a nice easy 11.5 today. Hope all had a great holiday and run. Best gift i got today was a Garmin Navigation for my truck.
My run (in the afternoon) was enlivened by SNOW up on the trails. It was only tiny flakes at the start, but as I ascended to the real trail, it turned into tons of big, fat, fluffy flakes that were coating the forest. Fortunately although all around me was a winter wonderland, the trail itself was only lightly covered, so the footing was muddy & slushy, but mostly just fine. It felt very Christmas-y up there! (When I returned to the trail head, it was just raining again. Amazing that just going up a hundred feet, if that, could make such a big difference!)
Light rain and wind here, easy four.
You are really doing much better than you were just 6 months ago. That's good.
hey muddy girl. email me. i have a question about Hood to Coast.
I thought about running, but it had been 7 days in a row with a total of 50+, so I gave myself a break and "got fat" as SoCal likes to say. I ran an easy 8.5 on the TM today after slipping into work for a few hours :-(
I know its past due to write in, but I have been out of the area for a week.
Spent a week down @ Cannon Beach, Oregon and just watched storm after storm after storm after storm come in! I thought it rained a lot where I live!
Most days were easy am 40 minutes and pm 30-40 minutes on beach getting hailed and rain blasted. It sure was refreshing though.
76 miles with two workouts
Mon 4(4 x 200)
Wed 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 200 (pouring downpour @ 38 degrees = why?!!)
cheers from the work desk :(

I had a tough time getting up and going to the office. Will run four later today.
