I thought the USATF 15k was in Jacksonville in March.
Is this a US champs event?
It's a USATF-NJ state championship 15K, not a national championship. And yes, I'll be there.
Do you know who the favorites are?
I'll be there. Check Compuscore as the race date approaches. They usually post a list of pre-registered runners.

This race doesn't get a huge turnout since there's no prize money. Only people who really need a category 3 race show up.
The reason I'm asking is that I'm new in NJ and was looking fwd to possibly having a good showing (typically can run around 52). I don't know any names so the list wouldn't do me much good. Thanks for the link though - I may have to do some googling.
Well, you never know who will show up for any race, but here is a link to last year's results:

Also, you can go back to prior years on the site.
Yes, I will be there. It is really a true Letsrunner's race - cold, desolate, no food, no drinks, no tshirts, very few Penguins. The overwhelming majority of the racers are the guys and gals who regularly run USATF points races in the state through the year... Could be some decent runners since it's the last race in the club championships as well. Dress warm and get ready for a boring loop course on a park road. It's not hilly though, so you can get a good time if the weather is OK.
richard luxury-yacht, you really summed it up well. For a championship 15K race, you would think they could at least throw us a bagel and some juice.
I didn't run last year, but did two years ago in the snow.
It used to be that you had to be a USATF-NJ member to compete. Has that rule changed?
