Do yourself and a friend a favor, pick up the latest Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival 2007 DVD. I got it at Sam's Club for $18.88. It has about 4:20 of the cream of the guitar world playing on 2 DVD's. If you've seen EC's Crossroads double-DVD from '04, you know what you're in store for.
On the current set, EC reconnects w/Steve Winwood for 3 Blind Faith tunes plus Jeff Beck knocks folks back w/2 stellar songs, helped by a female bass player who looks young enough to be Beck's daughter. Other highlights: John McLaughlin, Derek Trucks, Robert Cray, BB King, Vince Gill & John Mayer (the dude can flat out play). Los Lobos rocks out and Jimmie Vaughn plays on a few tunes. A rare appearance by Johnny Winter...and of course, EC. Two more: Susan Tedeschi & Doyle Bramhall.
The '04 double-DVD is 210 minutes long which, if combined w/the current offering, would entertain anybody for nearly 8 hours. The only drawback- you're left wanting more.
