I was unaware of this. What is the course really like? The Woodward Park course isn't too difficult- a good cross country course in the true sense of the word- but it does have about half a dozen rolling hills and a couple of 50-100m inclines. It's definitely not easy to PR on. You got to understand though that no one else in California prep xc history has never run within 14 seconds of how fast Fernandez ran the other night, and yes, that only goes back as far as when the state meet started, but it does include
