I definitely noticed Leo's strong 27th place finish in the NCAA cross. That's quite a run for a miler, especially after a long track season due to running at Worlds.
Great run by Leo. But there was another miler up there in 3rd place.

....who immediately went pro after the race. So he will be no threat to Leo in the NCAA.

I heard they're both pro.
God, I've got so many things that I've been told about runners going pro, I wonder which of them will come true.
hopefully leo stays collegiate, but I wouldn't doubt him going pro. Not after making it to Beijing, not after being all-American in cross. What more does he have left to do? He already won NCAAs once.
Excuse me, but Manzano has not yet made the team to Beijing. That team has yet to be decided and will be played out in July of 2008.

Twice!
He is probably off the USA's main list because of the bomb he layed at the Olympics. I would take both Myers and Lukezic over him. Remember, Lukezic has a 3:33 PR and made the WC indoor finals in the 1500 in 2005.
Leo has Lukezic's number though. Beat him as a frosh in that amazing NCAA 1500 final, and then again at the USATF championship this past spring. Chris is a great 1500 guy, but Leo just seems to be an inch ahead.
Leo beat Lagat~~~

I assume you're talking about Leo's performance at Worlds. Give the guy a break; he was at the end of a very long season and doesn't have much international experience. You don't learn how to be competitive at that level overnight.
With the base he has built up this fall and the experience from last summer, it looks to be a very promising season for Leo. I just hope that he follows a good plan so he has a little more left over for the summer.
Lukezic and Myers are plainly faster. However, Myers has not really been himself that last 18 months. I am not going to diss myers because there maybe personal issues involved. It is the only explanation for a runner who has run 3:34 1500 and a 3:53 mile.
