i have been recently diagonosed w/ a stress fracture in my femur. Although, I can pretty much guarantee the dr is wrong. just b/c i might check off some boxes in their text book which might *suggest* a sf, doesn't mean i hsve one...why does the dr NOT listen to the patient?!?! anyway, i have an MRI scheduled for wednesday, but since the dr is gone, i won't know results until the following monday or tuesday, the day(s) AFTER the marathon I am supposed to run. I have been fairly religious about xt, and actually had to run today (for ~5 mins). It hurt, but wasn't unbearable. If someone had a femoral sf, would they be able to do that?? I really know that I can just take a couple of ibuprofen and run it. From what I've read, people are not able to run, at all. Since I was able to I think it is just a muscle strain, or a bursitis. has anyone had experience w/ this type of injury?? i don't want to puss out b/c of a "potential" sf...any advice??
thanks in advance.
