So I'm wearing the 5s but they're killing my legs (shin splints, ankle soreness). Any alternatives I can try?

195 lbs (way over my adult healthy body weight..I'm working on getting it down)
Overpronator (thick instep)
Currently effort: 30-40 minutes/day at however I feel. I'm aiming to hit 1hr/day and stay there for a few months in hopes of dropping the weight/reducing body fat %.
