Last 5 weeks of mileage starting from scratch: 40,51,60,62,62 and this week will be in the 75 range...anyway, I did an 8 mile tempo run on the track tonite, ran 5:47, 5:49, 5:50, 5:46, 5:46, 5:44, 5:44, 5:19. Done by myself so I wasnt being pushed or anything. Felt like I easily could have kept the 5:45 pace for longer. About a minute after finishing the workout took my heart rate it was right about 150. I'm running a half marathon next sunday on from what I understand a fairly flat and quick course. Do you think its possible for me to run 1:15? If not what should i reasonably expect to run next weekend?
