I have this weird pain on the right side of my right foot. If I run barefoot with a forefoot strike, I can feel the strain from right beside my pinky toe all the way along the side of my foot to my ankle. When I flex it with my big toe pointed down, it hurts right in front of the ankle along the line previously mentioned. Sometimes it aches on the ball of my foot right below the 5th metatarsal head, and when I squeeze my foot in between my 4th and 5th metatarsals, I can feel an ache sort of like something is being pinched in between those two bones. I have had it for about 1.5 weeks now and it hasn't gotten any worse, but nothing seems to make it better, either. I even ran 2 cross country meets on it and it didn't affect it much. The pain started when I stepped on it wrong going around a right turn downhill. I iced it, heated it, rubbed it with oils, and it is still there. Luckily, my training hasn't suffered much if at all, but if anyone knows what this is, please I am dying to know how I can get rid of it. Sorry for the long-winded post, but it is a long story. Any help appreciated.
