It seems like in the middle portion of cross country seasons, especially last year when I was a junior in hs, everyday my quads are pretty tired, not sore exactly, but tired. It prevented me from performing my best in workouts and races. I tried ice bathing, massaging and stretching which worked to some extent, but not totally. Should I do more recovery runs in the morning, maybe increase mileage to recover better, reduce inflammation, and get new blood to my quads? Thanks for any help.
