When I run I have a very weak push off and my back leg never straightens out and is always bent. My friend says this is because I have weak legs especially hamstrings. Is this true? XC is around the corner and I really need to work on it so I can get up the hills faster. I have been running hill repeats and 60-70mpw. What can I do to get stronger and improve this? My friend suggested hill bounding and wasnt too excited about me lifting light weights but I think it will help a lot.
BTW I am still decently fast, I run 4:14 for the mile and 8:36 for the 3k.
