Found this article, thought it well was interesting to say the least. They kinda shit on D2 running in it, but it makes sense, in a sense.

composed by the writing magician "Batman". Wow.
Although there is maybe a shred of reality in the post, the guy writes like a complete retard. My guess is that he sucks at running, probably is a Div I guy, and cannot take others doing well.
Either way, thanks for the laugh.
I wasn't aware the D1 track and field championships had such a much larger following than the d2.

When working with extremely small numbers for both, "much larger" is a relative term.
wow what an angry little man. Sounds like someone who was stuck on teh JV squad for too many years.
D2 is kind of the stepchild of the NCAA (speaking as a former d2 athlete). I think even D3 has a bigger following than D2.
More often or not, it's a choice guys. You choose where you go based on what fits your needs most. I hear more friends who run for D2 teams complain about how tough they have it than I hear people complain about foreigners in the NCAA.
I thought the article was a fantastic satire.
Scott, Serna and Hulst handled the D1 competition fairly well by golly!
Honestly, who cares? I was D2 and knew that D1 was a lot more competitive. Then again I went to a D2 school for a reason. I could care less about the competition differences. Let's face it. Most of us aren't good enough to choose D1 over D2 on competition alone.
Who cares?
Not me.
right....this is an old, worn out thread topic; usually brings out high school trolls who claim they 'will go D1 or die' crap. I ran a 4:03 mile running for a d2 school and beat most of the d1 guys I raced in the Invitationals, etc. So, no big deal. Of course d1 is much deeper and faster; so what....move along; nothing to see here.
I've yet to hear any Go d1 or die crap, oh and we're proud of your 4:03 mile.
thank you....check the archives for previous threads on this topic. there are many.
