Who's it gonna be? I say Mizzou or Louisville.

West Virginia would also be a possibility. The football team is one of the best in the country now and Huggie just got hired as the basketball coach. This could be the time for them to make that move.
PITT.
They've wanted Notre Dame for ages but had no luck getting them interested. Whenever this has come up in the past Missouri and Texas have been mentioned. Paterno has pushed for Pitt as a 12th member which would be a good fit in basketball and possibly in football.
Yeah, as long as ND has that NBC football contract and their special status in the BCS, they're not going to join any conference (at least in football). How ND gets treated as such a privileged school in football is absolutely absurd.
Pitt or Louisville would seem to be the best fit for the Big 11. Texas seems like a geographic stretch. But then again, look at the ACC and Pac-10.
I've heard Pitt to Big 10. Charlotte as their replacement in the Big East.
Well they talk about erpanding to another state, which would leave out Pitt, and about wanting a huge TV market, which doesn't quite describe Louisville. Missouri would make the most sense. They're never getting Notre Dame.
Columbia, MO is not exactly a huge TV market, but that said, it would be a solid addition.
Notre Dame would be the logical choice, but barring that, Pitt, West Virginia & Louisville.
I'm not sure who they'd want to add that isn't in a big conference already. Based on last year's season and results, the Big East was on it. I wish Notre Dame would just go to the Big East, seeing as how all their other sports are there and they would not dominate as easily as thought. I don't think it's fair that they are allowed the independent schedule. I'm not going into why, since it would be a rather lengthy argument. I suppose if they were going to go anywhere else, let it be the Big Ten. If Pitt were to go to the Big Ten, then it would even out if Notre Dame went to the Big East (as far as football schools). However, I don't see Notre Dame going to the Big East because they believe they have too much clout and would likely opt for the Big Ten.

Columbia wouldn't be the market...Missouri is called Missouri for a reason.
Detroit Lions :-)
As long as it's in the Midwest, the team doesn't matter much to me. I thought Penn St. was a stretch when they added them. I'm a UW Madison alum and like being able to easily drive to football games. Anything in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, WI, Iowa, Minnesota is pretty easy. Louisville wouldn't be bad. Another team in Penn means another game I won't attend. WV? Forget it. Notre Dame would be ideal.
What they should do, is add another team but then kick Northwestern out. I mean honestly. what are they really doing there? They have no cross/track team as well as missing a couple of other teams and they have about 8,000 students competing in a conference where the other schools have an average of probably 30,000. They aren't really competitive in anything, time to kick them out!!
Loiusville wont because they just signed in the bigeast and through basketball are doing well. Im not sure how football revenues are doing though.
Also when you sign with a conference is it set up like a contract? Like we will sign for 7 years?
Is there free agency haha just kidding..

What about the Pac-10? Every school resides within the Pacific time zone, so I really don't understand your unique brand of logic.
West Virgina would be a really good addition.

Not really. The Big Ten is a midwest conference. WV makes no sense in that context.
Hey, Northwestern ranked 30th in the final standings of the Director's Cup and was 6th of Big 10 schools so I think they do add quite a bit!
West Virginia is 2:50 from Columbus. They are much closer to the market that the Big 10 entertains then Penn State.
