Brian Blutriech from North Carolina (throws coach) has left to join Martin Smith at Oklahoma AND Karen Harvey of Illinois is leaving to take a similar position at Florida State?
It will be interesting to see how these upset the coaching applecart if they both are true.

Karen jumped onto the scene in xc, but really ran out of gas for track this year (also, what happened to Cassie Hunt?) Maybe Winkler called her out after a poor Ilini distance showing at conference this year (they should've won the big ten title for sure).
If FSU is true, her and Braman have got to be the 2 most intense distance coaches in the country.

Walt is not leaving UNC anytime soon.

Distance runners at U of I do not have very many money athletes. Michigan was loaded this year, and Willard transferred for one half season to there from out east. Engle didn't make finals due to tactical errors and Bizarri had off weekend. Hunt suffered from endocrine/hormone issues this season. Sullivan wanted warmer climate for training ahead of 2008 Olympics????
