a few days ago whilst out doing some leisurely, typical running, my left calf began feeling like it was on the verge of cramping. i stopped, stretched it, continued - only to find the feeling growing worse and worse. seeing as i run an out-and-back route there was nothing to do but finish the run. the feeling's persisted for a couple days, so i took two off in a row and went out today and DAMN. I've never had my calf tighten up this hard before, and I have no idea what is causing it. It's in the center/center-right area of the calf, doesn't extend down to the achilles. I've been doing nothing to cause this kind of soreness...stretching it and using a roller on it is EXTREMELY painful.
Any ideas folks? I'm a bit at a loss. Maybe I'm not eating enough carbs, sodium, potassium? Something like that?
