Moving to Madison and am trying to figure out where to live/buy a house so I can use the car the least amount possible. Is there a place/side of town that will allow me access to cool runs and get me out of town on my bike?
Go Bucky!

are you going to college there? try to get a place near the university then definitely.
there are many good places to run around the university, from the arb to the lakeshore paths (picnic point, etc.) to random suburban neighborhoods. so even if you don't go to college, near UW-Madison is the place to be.
also if you're interested, the Wisconsin Track Club has a bunch of good runners who aren't quite fast enough for the Badgers.
Thanks,
I am out of school now and looking for a group like the WI Track club, thanks for the tip, is being near campus affordable?
Hi,
I am living in Madison right now and I would say anywhere near campus is a good place to live..I live near Camp Randall, which is very close to the arboretum (which has a lot of great running trails)..also Picnic Point has lots of great trails. I would pretty much recommend anywhere near the West side of campus.
Madison is a very bike-friendly city, so you will be able to get around by bike anywhere you live.
Best of luck! :)
