Assuming that 10% are homosexual, that leaves .10 x .42 = 4.2% for a dating pool for the OP. That = Big Frowny Face :(

I, for one, do not like how that sounds one bit.
Being someone who actually prefers female company to that of males I say hurah. Good work ladies. Now for the downside. Unless you gals start marrying men who aren't as successful as you, we will being sliding down a slippery slope. Men without access to women will fight for that right. So start rearranging your priorities ladies or we will all pay in the end.
Also a nice time for Hillary to finally take charge. I'm sick of underqualified, idiot males running things.
BTW - I was raised by a woman. I've also banged quite of few of them to know that they are a lot smarter than we are regardless of whether you can add or subtract.

exactly why does it bother you? is it a power thing? does it make you feel inferior? i'm always curious why "groups" get nervous about another "group" growing into prominence. it's the way of life, evolution, history. one, or a group, cannot remain in power forever; no emperor nor empire has lasted (save for castro . . . but he's the exception). rather than freak out, shouldn't you just accept that you may not have the standing you once did. another question; what will you do when obama is elected president and blacks (or other non-whites) start taking power? i'm sure your fears are not limited to females . . . .
Have any of you current collegiate runners noticed this male/female ratio disparity, and has it affected your social life any?
So if that is true, and everyone screams Title IX and girls arent getting a fair shake... Why cant you get a girl to walk on a collegiate team like you can a male? I dont know of many places that have turned down walk on females, regardless of talent. I know plenty that won't/can't take on walk on males
The REASON why there are fewer males in college:
Men are much more likely to have to support their families, and cannot spend the time and money getting an education. Instead, they have to earn money now.
And yes, I agree, it is a waste, because roughly a 1/3 of women will not work more than 10 years after graduation (once she shits out the first kid).

How many male HS graduates have families to support? At that stage it is usually the family supporting them? No, the truth is males out of HS are not as mature as females of the same age. Those males wind up in the trades, the don't start in the trades. It is common knowledge if you don't go into college straight from HS, you are less likely to later in life.
PS. I am generalizing, of course.
Nice, very ballsy to cite Christina Hoff Sommers. Her research is fishy and her conclusions are fairly unfounded right wing rubbish. Though she is very articulate in person, as I've had the chance to hear her speak. Men will never be run out of education.
some schools are accepting male students with weaker qualifications than their male counterparts.
Yeah, this doesn't bother me much either. I'll be fine. I'll raise my sons to study hard and work hard and they'll be fine too.
You know what's sad and kind of funny at the same time? Half of women recieving college degrees will get married and have kids and leave the workforce to take care of them. Don't get me wrong, being a parent is the most important job out there but I find it somewhat amusing that many women will spend years and hundreds of thousands of dollars getting a college education only to be a fulltime mother.
wow you are a pussy
The horrible inequity in Universities must be changed.
Their must be de facto discrimination going on.
Thanks heavens for title nine. Now all we need to do is implement it by refusing to give oppurtunities to the over represented sex.
No More women teachers until there can be a one to one ratio with men.
I love title nine. It is so fair and works so well.
