I understand that in Japan there are actually suicide clubs springing to life (horrible phrasing there). I wonder if such things will happen here?

Yes, the only purpose for humans is to pass their genetic material to the next generations. It all boils down to the sperm and the egg. Start from there and work your way out to the great civilizations of our times. You can also infer human behavior from it. Women have a finite number of eggs whereas men have an infinite number of sperm. Ergo, women are more cautious and men take more risks - we're expendable, they're not.

Women don't find men attractive, they don't think we're cute, or witty, or strong, or fast, etc., etc. They are only looking for sperm donors who will fertilize their eggs and then allow them to care for the children. Nothing more nothing less.

So this being the case, then yes it is the most rewarding thing a human can do. It's the closest you'll ever get to God (that or running a 12:30 5k)

But cheer up, once you comprehend the rules of engagement it actually is kinda fun playing the game...

I never thought of the three as having much in common, but how wrong I was! These things are tearing apart the fabric of our American lives!I would add to the advocation of the suicide clubs except that's such a lame way to die. I'd rather go out fighting. If you want to die, start doing really crazy things to people. Then when they try and arrest you, take some hostages and have one of those CNN standoffs. Go down with guns blazing.

Pretty awesome post. That's the first time ever for Nancy Pelosi, an NHL with 30 teams AND wildfires to be in the same sentence. I never thought of the three as having much in common, but how wrong I was! You are only 16; the key is to avoid having them for a decade or so.

As for rewarding, there is not a lot better than having your kid(s) run up to you and scream "Daddy" when I come home.

Read this again and you are confused within your own post: at first you write you are not sure if you want kids or not; then later you say you want to have kids.

For chrissakes, you are 16. Just do not have kids before you are married. When I was 16 I do not recall even thinking about having kids or not; that was something I knew was far off into the future===albeit I wanted longer than I thought I would have.

at your age you should be focusing on process and not on result.
