I have a knee injury, and I think i am gonna start cross training in the water through pool running, even though I am not very good at it. I am always injured it seems. I just did 40 miles a week last week. I want to get up to around 60 a week sometime late summer to be able to race well in the fall at the 5k to 8k distance.
My question is, how many days should I train in the water before getting back out onto land running? When I get back on solid ground, what kind of mileage should I be doing? I don't know what to do at all and I would greatly appreciate any advice. My doctors are not helpful at all.
