I am not running this week because the pain in my heel from PF has gotten so bad I can't run.
I am going to try biking this week for 60-90 mins per day with hopes that the rest will help minimize the problem (while icing, massaging, and wearing a night splint).
Anyway, I had planned on beginning Chicago training this week. I have never been injured before and don't know if biking will help maintain my fitness level or what. How far off will a week on the bike put me? Before anyone assumes I'm slow - I ran 2:53 last fall and I'm female so while I'm not elite, I am not "just trying to complete a marathon".
Anyone have a success story (injured and on the bike 12 weeks before a marathon) that they can share?
