The new Seven Wonders of the World were announced recently. What do you think of them? The only one I have a problem with is the statue in Brazil. To me, it's not a "wonder"; it was built recently (1931) and used modern technology in constructing it. The others were all built at least several hundred years ago and several well over 1,000 years ago using such primitive technology that it truly is a "wonder" that is could even be built. It's not even that big, only about 100 feet tall. By contrast, the 1,000+ foot Empire State Building was built around the same time.
