Very true. If you're serious about competitive running, the local running store is not for you. Competitive runners are not their target market. If they were, the stores would go broke in a month. The money's in the penguins and gallowalkers, not the local fast guys. Therefore, that's who they target. If I owned a store, I'd do the same thing.
