Odds are there's a thread about this already, but I have yet to see one.
I'm going into my 2nd year of collegiate running and I've begun wondering what types of summer training people partake in. Obviously the top collegiate runners are just about wrapping up their spring seasons but I'm about three weeks into base training for the next cross season.
My question is this: Is running 10-15 mile runs every day of the week really the best way to improve my fitnes and prepare for a long fall? I feel like this type of training becomes not only mentally wearing, but physically it makes you stale.
PR's 3:58 1500, 15:17 5k. and i'm usually training around 6:20 pace for 8+ mile runs. Who has suggestions??
