Is it possible to run very well, and consistently over a 12-14 week period without completely letting the bottom drop out if you get a good base in for June, July, and August?
I have started base building for the last 3 weeks after a knee injury and am looking at getting in around 30 miles this week. I am looking at consistently getting in 60+ miles a week if my body can withstand it (typically, it hasnt over 60).
I just want to know if I can hold up racing maybe 6-8 times from September through November, after a 3 month base building phase, and race pretty solidly throughout (I realize it's gonna be harder to make a solid "peak" for one race because of how drawn out my racing is, but I want to be able to be in sub 16 5k shape throughout my fall months of racing. My PR is 16:12 for those curious).
