So there's a track near my place that I've started to use. I did my first workout on it and the times were slower than expected. Could be that I'm not in as good of shape as I thought, but is it possible that the track isn't 400m?
It's unmarked, cinder and only about four-five "lanes" wide. There is a soccer field inside with some room to spare. The dimensions and turns seem normal to me.
I really like running there, but since I don't have a wheel or accurate GPS, is there any way to know how big it is? Thanks for any help.
By the way, it's in Chicago near Damen and Foster if anyone is familiar with it.
