Good job, letsrun. I didn't have a chance to watch the video. You didn't ask him about the tatoo, did you?

I love Fam, but I wish he stay away from the steeplechase for at least one full year and concentrate on 5000 and sub-13. I never believe any steeplechaser who says they haven't looked at a hurdle this year. And if he truly hasn't, what a great way to get injured!
If Fam where running like this in 2000 he would be the nations best distance runner. In those days we really saw US runners breaking 13:20 for the 5k and 8:20 in the steeple.
I think he has the best chance of making a WC or Olympic final in the Steeplechase.
It is good to have a strong contingent of US distance runners.
If he runs sub 13 he would certainly be a legit shot to do well in the 5k. Perhaps he would have a better shot in the steeple, but only if he is up there with what Lincoln ran last year and not 8:17 shape.
I think he's pretty clearly in better shape than when he ran 8:17.
He has clearly raced more than Teg and is closer to his top form at this point in the year than Teg should be. It will be interesting next weekend to see if he can defeat Teg in the 2 mile at Pre. If he does he may very well be our best hope in the 5k. If he does not, then Teg with his lesser race schedule would definitely be our best hope.
Teg seems very confident that he is coming along slowly and will be better for it in the months of Aug and Sept.
