When I was growing up I was pretty bright. I was in honors programs and was able to problem solve and think critically and generally was able to stay focused. However, I feel that I have lost a lot of this through the end of high school and through my four years in college. I never was a big partier or got f***ed up or did any drugs, but I find that my mind is often in a state of "looking through" rather then being able to focus.
This was the case in lectures, doing homework, reading, etc...and I feel like I may have some sort of attention disorder. Like I said, I constantly feel like my mind is seeing though things and I cant focus on tasks such as reading and paying attention for periods of time. This hasnt stopped me from getting decent grades but I find that I have a harder time learning than I used to.
I really want to try to read and learn alot on my own this summer before I head off to grad school but I just cant seem to get my mind back into it. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Would herbal supplements that claim to improve memory and focus help? I eat healthy and like I said, I dont drink much and I dont do drugs.
