Runamook - I'm a former Tabori runner who was there when you were. Email me your real name at: yolandabgood@hotmail.com and I'll reply with mine. I'm curious as to who you are.

here are clues.
first I was a toreador, then sfvtc , then a duck (on page 191 of this years media guide).
Now I run a bunch of mooks around.
put the guts to it and figure it out :)
my bad, page 181.
runamook- might you also be in the bottom picture of p.189?
I don't know, the only place I can find you is on p.186. Can't find you on p.181.
I may be completely off, but I thought your initials were/are HT. If so, then the only place I find you is on page 186. If you say you're on page 181, I may have you pegged as the wrong person. I thought I knew who the coach of the Cheesenakers was. I don't see you in any of the pictures that others have listed.

Several former Duck women are coaching in Oregon High Schools: Katie Crabb at Pleasant Hill, Laura Harmon at Jesuit, Rosa Gutierrez at Glendale, and you at Tillamook.

You're Jon Sutherland

You have it right.
ah, you guys are good. The name is on 186, the picture is on 181.
and I just noticed the media guide I have is dated 2006 it was sent to me last fall) so I reallly haven't a clue what is on page 186 that y'all are talking about. pre841 has it right of course!
that pdf page finally loaded and it looks like the same guide, but I can't make out page numbers. It could be this years guide (2007) transplanted the ancient history section in as it was. I'm on the Heino page in all of my then oft injured glory. My 2 and 1/2 seasons as a duck were the best of times and the worst of times runningwise...but it's more fun these days taking care of all my kids. fortunately they are nowhere near as difficult as I was to coach!
Did you guys get rained out of your first meet? I saw on athletic.net that it was cancelled. The first two weeks of the spring season were the coldest/wettest I can remember. Lo and behold, our first meet was beautiful. We hardly ever have nice weather for our home meets; it's been a lasting legacy.
Good luck to you and your runners. It doesn't look like our paths will cross this season. We aren't going to MOC because it conflicts with the GP Rotary.
Is that you with Tom on page 182 in the link above?! If it is, wow, you haven't changed a bit!:)
I have a question-- one of my students was trying to explain the different mascots at Tillamook and got me confused. Are you guys the Cheesemakers, Mooks, or both? Isn't your actual mascot a ship, or something else?
:) jaguar1
Well I figured out who you are but I don't remember you running with us at Valley College with Tabori. Then again I ran there from 1972 - 1976 and I was only 10 - 13 years old at the time. I guess I've had 1 too many beers since then.
pre841- Scappoose cancelled the relay meet because their runways were not done. We've been waiting forever for a meet , but ugh, starting next thursday we have about 5 of them in 10 days...it makes me crazy. I don't think we will be at MOC this year because it looks like we are going to XO (love that meet!)
Jag, yeah, thats me sitting on my butt nursing a stress frac post race!
Highlander, did you know Vickie and Kiki? I ran a lot with them and they were about 11-12. I ran with Laszlo from late fall 74-the end of 76. I did my sets with Sue Kinsey, Leal, Jacqui and sometimes Miki. Babiracki was training their then, but in truth I wasn't paying much attention to the boys running there. Really, I wasn't!
It's kind of a trip that I got a thread on let'srun for my birthday .. I even had a two hour phone call from my old roomie who was the GF of a certain high profile old duck (who is much maligned on these boards) yesterday. Wishing everyone a great track season, I'm about to get way tooo busy to even look at anything but athletic.net on my computer in the next 6 weeks!
Yes, I remember them well. Vickie is my sister and Kiki, Vickie & I are still close. Funny how small the world is. I used to do my sessions with Kiki's brother Jonathan, David Trusel, David Neidorf (who later starred in the movies Platoon & Hoosiers) and Kevin Downey. I still talk to Jon Sutherland. I haven't seen Babiracki in many years. Back then I used to run to school in the morning with Jackie H.. I went to Crespi HS where I ran poorly but thanks to a good summer of training with Jon S. and a 30:50 10K at 17, ended up at UCR back when they had a good team and ran fairly well for them. I saw Jackie about a month ago at a See Jane Run party and I saw Laslo about 10 years ago. Did you know that Chuck Debus is being allowed to coach again? Pretty scary.

Is this Ray Cook? If so, I am a friend of Mike Trujillo of SBHS fame (who isn't? he knew everyone).
Yes, I'm Ray. Mike lives in Davenport and I currently live in northwest Indiana. We got together last year in Indy at USATF and we're planning on doing it again.
He was out here (Oregon) this past summer. Are you guys planning a summer of '08 trek to Eugene?
How's your sister doing? Is she still running? I saw the Jane's website and recognized a handful of names from days gone by.
