I am training for a half marathon at the end of April. Normally a 30-35 MPW, I've made the easy transition up to 40+ with focuses on long runs of 10-12 and tempo runs of 7-8 @ half marathon goal pace. Things have been going well, but I obviously haven't done much track/short fast runs. Would it be wise to eneter a 5K this weekend? If so, what type of stuff can I do in such a short window (five days) to prepare? Or should I just stick to my current training regime and just run it for fun? Thoughts...
