I know I'm gonna get some responses like "maybe you should stop being a pussy" but before I start I want to say I'm not aggrevated because of what I had to do but why I had to do it:
We are a small D2 school and our coaches started a new policy that if someone misses practice without an excuse then the rest of the team has to do 10x330m hill repeats at the local park (its pretty steep too). This way they will feel bad since they made the rest of the team do hills as a result of their actions. So I missed practice friday with a legitimate excuse and even emailed the one coach at 8:30am to which she responded at 10:30am to my email without complaint. I should also add that someone else missed practice for that same reason and that person was in my email too. THEN the coaches decided that we did not inform them and made the whole team do 30x330m hill repeats today (10 of them were justified because of someone else not telling the coach they were absent but 20 were not justified because they were a "result of" of me and the other teammate). I showed the email to one of the other coaches tonight and he admitted the coaches were in the wrong. I have decided that the coach I emailed who "forgot" that I had told her I wasn't going to be at practice has to do 30 hill repeats or else I will quit the team out of principle. She is fully capable of running them, she is a 2:4x marathoner. ALSO they made the throwers even do the hills.
side note: the hill workout plus the mileage to run to the park and back totalled 16 miles...
