You've just described me. I'm the one who holds up in dry heat and pretty much match your physical description. I once did a two hour run in denver in August feeling a bit warm and thinking it must have been in the low 80s. I found out afterward it was 100. On a summer holiday in Phoenix I felt warm and was definitely glad for ac but not overly bothered while my wife complained constantly about the heat.
But give us a typical 75 degree humid day here in Massachusetts and I'm moaning and sweating.
On the other hand, there's that great story in one of Lydaird's books where he mentions running at midday in Venezuala with no problem because in addition to being really hot the weather was also really humid.
