how effective are 200m repeats in indicating 800m time? what is the correlation between some 200m rep workouts and time?
i ask this bc we do 200s every monday and this week i was told to hit 29s on the first 6 then see what i have on the last two. i went 29.5,29.5,29.5,29.5,28.0,26.5
i felt nice and relaxed on the 29s and even the 28, i was in sprint form in the 26 however.
i just went 2:00 last week but felt that i didnt come out fast enough and that i am in better shape than this and i have another race this friday. im aware that the best way to see what you can do is race but this is just for my owm curiosity.
also, i do 40mpw, with usually 1-2 track sessions and a fartlek or tempo, and a longish run (8-10)
