Joan Mabe (formerly Nesbitt) set a new indoor world record for the mile today at UNC. She ran 5:04.xx to set the record for females age 45+. I haven't checked the official results yet for the official time. I believe the former record was 5:08.xx. I think she finished just ahead of Katelyn Kaltenbach. Julia Lucas of NC State won with around a 4:47. Great job!
