I came accross a few interesting anecdotes (or what you call them) on Cruel Juha, whilst reading a book by Seppo Nuuttila..
Occasionally censorship strucked in surprising situations. At the spring of 71 we had made a arrregaments with the Finnish Broadcasting Company to make a phone call to Penedo Brazil, where Juha Väätäinen was with the idea to train for the European Championships in Helsinki. I send him a letter, where I suggested few dates, that would do, and asked him to telegraph a date and a telenumber where we could reach him. So it went, and the wished they came.
The line was good, but for some reason the first lines caught in a megafone tape were excluded from the version broadcasted for the public.
The voice ofa phone ringing.
-Cruel Juha, a voice said.
-Well hello, it's Seppo. How's it going.
-Brilliant.
-Tell me where excactly are you right now?
-At the rooftop of a bordello. Enjoying the sun and redwine!
Topled with a Väätäislike bubbling lafter.
I don't know, how they dragged the the phone at the rooftop at that time in Brazil, but iot doesn't matter because the censorship thought that this part of the conversation was too much for the Finnish public to tolerate.
