very impressive performances, however, the headline 'only 2 months after taking up the sport' appears to be wrong. She is shown as running in 2002, but that obviously wouldn't make good copy.
The article mentioned a brief dabble in athletics in school, and a school record in the 800. This doesn't detract from the overall timeline of her rocket launch to world class running.
Crammy wrote a piece about her in the Guardian recently.
It should be an interesting race tomorrow and hopefully we will have some British success.
In the 4 years since her last race i doubt if she did no training at all except play hockey.
More than likely she has probably been ticking over on about 15-20 miles per week but has probably increased this fairly substantially over the last 6 months. She took some good scalps at the trials and i doubt anyone could run like that off just 2 months training.
Perhaps Max Coleby or some of her uni team mates could shed some light on what she's been doing over the last few months? Anyway, she seems like a huge talent and the best of luck to her.
Mr Coleby made it pretty clear in AW that her training is top secret and not to be shared with anyone. Great attitude, just what the country needs.
Somebody get her over to Providence. Treacy would do great things with her. Actually Karen Harvey at Illinois and their top 5 engineering school might be a better fit.
